FAQ

Q: I need customer service about issue x, where do I go for that?

A: Please go to our support page — we'll get back to you directly if you ask a question there and share your email address with us.

Q: What does it cost to list my events in Live Matrix?

A: Nothing, it’s absolutely free to list your events. But you do have to register for a publisher account here.

Q: What does it cost to use Live Matrix?

A: Nothing, it’s free to use. You don’t even have to get an account, although if you do get one you can enjoy the benefits of having your own calendar, social features, and exclusive invites.

Q: How do you rank events?

A: Our event ranking algorithm is a proprietary secret so we can’t release the details. But basically the goal is to estimate the relative popularity of events in real-time, based on a number of factors including RSVPs, event views, and other statistics we measure.

Q. Are all the events listed on Live Matrix actually live?

A. Yes — when you see an event under “Popular Events Right Now” on our home page, that means it’s live right now. If it’s under “Popular Upcoming Events”, it’s going to be live. All you need to attend one is an internet-connected device.

Q. Do you list things besides live video and TV shows?

A. Yes, absolutely. Live Matrix is the guide to ALL types of live online events, not just video streams. We list anything that’s scheduled and available live on the Internet: online concerts, webinars, limited-time sales, celebrity chats, video/web-TV premieres, auctions, conferences, product launches, earnings calls, game tournaments, you name it.

Q. Do you ever list live events that occur off-line?

A. Yes, but only if they are also available online, like a live YouTube stream of a U2 concert, for example.

Q. Do you own any of the content on your site?

A. No, Live Matrix simply links you to live events — we don’t store or own any of the content.

Q. Do you link to past events so I can watch them later?

A. Yes, we list recent events under “Popular Recent Events” on our home page and "Recent" on channel pages — but Live Matrix does not own the content, so the event won’t be available if its owner has not made it available in archived form.

Q: Are you hiring?

A: We’re a small startup, but we’re always interested in hearing from exceptionally qualified people who can join our team. To apply, please send a cover letter and your resume to jobs[at]livematrix.com. We’ll let you know if something comes up that might be a fit for your skill set.

Q: Will there be advertising in Live Matrix?

A: Yes, like other free services on the Web, we do plan to accept advertising. In particular we will accept sponsorships, premium event listings, and contextual advertising. More details about this will be coming as we launch these programs in the future.

Q: How can I delete my account?

A: If you would like to delete your account, please visit our account deletion page.
